"Black Noise" stands for opposing dynamics, inaudible tones and conflicting frequencies. Symbolizing the many dissonances we face, it is a personal journal into machinal distorted hybrid electronica that reflects the dystopic elements of the modern world.

A study in tension where the slow-burn melancholy of Doomjazz collides with machine-driven Industrial textures, where ancient mysticism meets modern existential dread, where darkness and illumination spiral together in a single hypnotic ascent.
An extremely bleak picture of the dystopian reality of our time from an unusual perspective. Raw violence goes hand in hand with a feeling for melodies, often veering towarding frenzy while holding an oppressive feeling with plaintive-manic vocals.
"Noise" is an amplification of Boris’ endless pursuit of musical extremes, masterfully intermingling sludge-rock, blistering crust punk, shimmering shoegaze, epic thunderous doom, psychedelic melodies and just about everything else they’ve ever done.

For the odd entity known as Botanist, the Black Metal trope about misanthropy and of being alone in the forest is in fact about the woods and its floral inhabitants themselves. A most unique take on the genre, for sure.
Botanist sprouted from the seed of their debut double-album "I: The Suicide Tree / II: A Rose from the Dead" (2011) into a tripartite sapling with the addition of III: Doom in Bloom" (2012), yet another unique work which now arrives in vinyl format.

Two of San Francisco’s most interesting underground bands, Botanist and Palace of Worms, team up to release a split album featuring 3 exclusive tracks by each of the projects. A fine exercise of challenging and groundbreaking Black Metal.
Bremen combine elements of trogged-out psychedelic Rock with a deadly serious Arctic minimalism and weeping modal improvisations that owe more to the outer limits of Jazz and burnt-out free music from Japan.

Recorded back to 1993, this holds Varg's last recordings before imprisonment. It depicts two radically different sides - on one hand, a raw yet highly atmospheric Black Metal, on the other a completely Ambient / Electronic work on the last two tracks.
Burzum's 3rd work, originally recorded in 1992 and released two years later. A longstanding classic in the Black Metal genre, "Hvis Lyset Tar Oss" was conceived as a concept album.
"Det Som Engang Var" (Norwegian for "What Once Was") is Burzum's second studio album, recorded in April 1992. "Det Som..." would come to feature a slightly more polished sound and is often considered as one of the main landmarks in Norwegian Black Metal.

"From the Depths of Darkness" holds Varg's favorite tracks from his two first albums, "Burzum" and "Det Som Engang Var", re-recorded in 2010 the way he originally intended.
According to Varg, yet another return-to-the-roots album, with a strong focus on atmosphere and wholeness rather than anything else and special emphasis on the lyrics (a total of 66 stanzas have been written for the album).
Described as "relaxing, slow-paced, contemplative and very much original", Burzum returns to a purely electronic and instrumental expression, closer to early tracks like "Tomhet" and "Channelling the power of Minds..." on this one-hour long album.
Similar to Burzum’s previous Ambient albums, but differing in style and vocal expression. Haunting story telling channeled through distinct vocals combined with Varg’s compositions, inspired by his in-depth knowledge of European history and evolution.
"Burzum / Aske" gathers the self-titled debut, depicting the project's early days with a very raw and primitive approach to Black Metal reminiscent of early Bathory. 180gr. vinyl.

The working title for the next Burzum album is "Thulêan Mysteries" and it has a Thulêan theme. The intention of the album is to be background music for the MYFAROG game session. It might well work for other situations too...

Burzum's fifth album was conceived and recorded in jail, using a synthesizer (the only instrument available to him at the time). It strays away from the early Black Metal sound in its mix of medieval music, ambient, neoclassical and minimalism.

Genre-defining early Black Metal from Count Grishnack. Simple, and often suffocatingly feral with ghoulish distorted screams garbling any message but the mood: sadness.
Burzum's first work, after an 11 year hiatus, sees Varg return to the earlier highly atmospheric and dynamic sound, but this time focusing solely on Black Metal and leaving the ambient parts out, for the most part.

"Burzum / Aske" gathers the self-titled debut, depicting the project's early days with a very raw and primitive approach to Black Metal reminiscent of early Bathory, and an EP whose original cover was a photo of one of the churches burnt down by Varg.
"Fallen" can be compared to the music on the groundbreaking "Det Som...", and although it follows "Belus" in sound and structure, it is also more dynamic and hard hitting, holding an even bigger sound while carrying Burzum's trademark melodic lines.

A new project by members of Horna and Behexen, Bythos combines cold melodies and versatile riffs, creating rich and numinous landscapes which encounters powerful and vicious liturgies, often bringing to mind the brilliant work of Dissection.
