Like some kind of conclusion, Auerbach's last Sol Invictus re-release will be the live recording "Black Europe", which includes many of the bands classics and now benefits from a bonus DVD documenting a Tony Wakeford solo concert in Lyon from 1993.
Not only because of its title track, this has to be seen as a classic of the Sol Invictus catalogue. This expanded edition includes also bonus material in the shape of the songs from the 1994 mini CD "Above Us The Sun" and is limited to 700 copies.
Originally released in 1992 and long time out of print, "King & Queen" receives its well deserved re-release, with eight bonus tracks from live recordings held between 1990 and 1991 which had previously only been available on the rare "Rite Of Spring" LP.
Until the release of "The Cruellest Month" in the summer of 2011, "The Devil's Steed" of 2005 was the up-to-date album of Sol Invictus, already heralding Tony Wakeford's return to more classic folkloristic topics. Comes with 4 bonus tracks, lim. 700.
Sol Invictus step into an alternate universe of Dark Folk, 1970s Prog Rock and Psychedelia. Wakeford skilfully manages to clearly hark back to Sol Invictus' history yet incorporates new influences to add another dimension to his band's cosmos.
In Wakeford's words, "A record based on and brought forth from London and the serpent Thames that snakes its way through its heart". Possibly the final release from a band revered as progenitors of a dark and desperate sound.
An early example of Tony´s increasing interest in a more orchestrated approach to the band´s Dark Folk formula, which in this recordings features additional arrangements using cello, piano, violin, trumpet and percussion.
One of Sol Invictus' classic releases, now pressed again on vinyl. Gatefold LP (180g vinyl, black) with new artwork and layout, incl, printed inner sleeve and protection sleeve (500 copies).
One of Tony Wakeford's favourites of all Sol Invictus albums. Finally available on vinyl again, now on light green transparent vinyl, coming in a gatefold cover with printed inner sleeves, and limited to 500 copies.
This compilation double album combines the band's first releases: the mini-LP "Against the Modern World" (1988) and the live album "In the Jaws of the Serpent" (1989). This early effort of the Post-Industrial Neofolk is dark, rough, and primitive.

Solblot's unique brand of neofolk is based on traditional Scandinavian folk and Swedish progressive rock, with a slight touch of the experimental. Nostalgic, romantic hymns of an idealised Sweden, which never existed except as a dream. Lim. 400 copies.

Nordic Dark Folk. While the carnyx, lyre, nyckelharpa, Irish bouzouki, Celtic harp and blow horns create echoes from the distant past, throat singing, spoken incantations and powerful vocals tell the stories on a deep emotional level.
