A collection of SPK’s singles, originally released between 1978 and 1979 + extra tracks from 1981-1982, which maps the transition from a scratchy thrashy Punk sound, augmented by synthesizers and samples, into a more synth-oriented sound.
Combining the signature soundscapes of Scorn with tartareous textures, “The Only Place” reaches a psychedelic groove, revisiting ethereal ambiences and floating, near-melodic-but-not-quite moments, a signature of Harris’ abilities.

Impressive debut by this French neoclassical, symphonic, martial industrial act. Fourty minutes of music in nine tracks created in specific orchestral vein. Very interesting music, not so many mighty, bombastic phrases, but a lot of moving atmospheres.
