O Saala Sakraal focuses on textural changes, sometimes organic and evolving, sometimes abrupt and overwhelming. Central in all pieces is the four piece choir, next to the familiar extended/vast percussion section and acoustic drone weaving.
Steeped in woodland mysticism, "Oastar" unfolds as a cycle of rituals, to facilitate flow states, purify and transform, and call forth coalescence from fragmentation. Six pieces of consolidation and transcendence, offered to the world in its darkest hour.
The 3rd release in the Release Now! series, containing unreleased material from lost tapes created during OC´s working-break between 1995-2004. This holds their typical groundbreaking sawing sound and could easily be their best release.
