Inspired by a recording of an IBM mainframe computer which Jóhann’s father made on a reel-to-reel tape machine more than 30 years ago, "IBM 1401" was recorded by a sixty-piece string orchestra which added to incorporated electronics of the original tape.
A beautiful meld of strings and electronics, with two themes running throughout - the idea of failed utopias is the main thread, and the collision of mysticism and rocket science is the other theme explored. Includes unpublished notes written by Johann.
Their 3rd collaboration album. “Opalus” dives further into the psychedelic cosmic vacuum that the previous albums only touched on, and sounds like a lost Cluster, Popol Vuh, or Tangerine Dream album with that magical old tone and spirit of the 1970s.
A haunting, dystopian soundscape John Haughm of Agalloch, heavily influenced by Cormac McCarthy and the mid-1800s renegade period of the old West. For fans of Swans, Ennio Morricone, Fields Of The Nephilim, and Neil Young's “Dead Man” soundtrack.
The followup to “+37.717364 // -117.247955” continues the wayward journey of the dystopian 19th century nomad as he navigates the inter-dimensional desert, taking on a more fully orchestrated soundtrack approach. Lim. 250x.

While one song written about the pandemic came to be the album's centrepiece, the rest grapples with the world as it moved on and all the dualism and dichotomies that followed. The luthe players contains to mesmerize with his unique instrument.

"Character", the cellist third album, refines the layering technique with which different cello motifs are interwoven. As an accompaniment to her actual instrument, she plays natural and ambient noises, which work as a kind of substitute voice.
On her fourth work, Julia Kent again masterfully combines the sound of the cello with electronic music, creating a completely unique acoustic world, which can be both mysterious and moving. Limited vinyl version including CD.
