Uruk comes from the meeting in 2016 of two totally unclassifiable musicians: Thighpaulsandra, of Coil, and Massimo Pupillo, of Zu. Dark Ambient, immersive and meaningful, in a meeting of imposing electronic and organic sounds inspired by Carl Jung.
Oscillating between Drone and Ambient, in a mysterious and hazy atmosphere which often echoes the work of Coil, Uruk evoke images of interstellar travel or mental explorations which immerse the listener in a dense and complex sound universe.
Urwelt picks up where Novatron left off and ups the intensity by powers of ten. Urwelt's combination of squelching noise and rapturous drone could be likened to a mix of Tangerine Dream and Sunn 0))).
